Man From Camden County Dies 3 Days After Gloucester County Car Crash

Jeffery Koltys of Runnemede was in a car crash last Monday, police said. He died on Thursday, according to a report.

DEPTFORD, NJ — A Camden County man died three days after he was involved in a two-car Gloucester County crash, according to New Jersey State Police and nj.com.

Police were called to the Exit 56B off-ramp for State Route 55 North in Deptford on Monday, May 2, at about 1:48 p.m., officials said.

The preliminary investigation indicated a Mustang was traveling southbound on the exit ramp when it struck a Hyundai, which caused both cars into a grassy area that separates the exit and entrance ramp from Route 47, according to officials.

The driver of the Hyundai was Jeffery Koltys, 67, of Runnemede, officials said. Koltys died 3 days later, nj.com reported.

The driver of the Mustang, Robert T. Sherry, 71, of Elk, did not sustained life-threatening injuries and was charged with driving under the influence, unlawful possession of a weapon and assault by auto, according to officials.
