Man Killed In 2-Car Crash Amid Snowstorm In Harrison: Police

An Elk Township man was killed in the accident after he lost control of his car in Harrison Township Monday morning.

HARRISON TOWNSHIP, NJ - A man was killed after he lost control of his car on a snow covered road in Gloucester County and collided head-on with another car Monday morning, police said.

The 47-year-old unidentified man was unconscious and unresponsive when police responded to the scene on Aura Road at about 7:30 a.m. Monday morning, according to Harrison Township police. He was pronounced dead at the scene 13 minutes later.

Police said he lost control of his 2018 Toyota Corolla while driving south on Aura Road and crashed head-on with a 2011 Ford F-150 being driven by a 32-year-old Bridgeton man, who was apparently uninjured.

The crash is being investigated by Ptl. Robert J. May assisted by Ptl. Kevin McGowan and Ptl. Kurt Pflugfelder. Further assistance on scene was provided by the Glassboro Police Department, the Harrison Township Fire District, Gloucester County Emergency Medical Services, and the Gloucester County Medical Examiner’s Office.
