Marie Welsh, MSN, BSN, RN Joins Samaritan Palliative Medical Partners
Samaritan Palliative Medical Partners gains new nurse

Marie Welsh MSN, BSN, RN of Riverton, NJ has joined Samaritan Palliative Medical Partners, a physician medical practice of Samaritan Healthcare & Hospice. Unlike the not-for-profit organization’s hospice program which offers comfort care and quality-of-life-support in the last months of life, Samaritan’s palliative practice provides consultations and follow-up care by board-certified physicians and nurse practitioners concurrently with aggressive treatment throughout the course of serious illness.
Prior to joining Samaritan, Welsh served as ICU nurse and lead preceptor at Virtua Marlton and an Emergency Room nurse at Virtua Voorhees and Hahnemann University Hospital. Her experience also includes critical care nursing at Albert Einstein Medical Center, Shore Memorial, and Vail Valley Medical Center; case management at Jefferson Home Care, and primary care delivery as a Family Nurse Practitioner in a private family medical practice.
Welsh obtained her Diploma of Nursing at Episcopal Hospital School of Nursing, Philadelphia, She earned her BSN and an MSN as a Family Nurse Practitioner at Thomas Jefferson University, Philadelphia.
