Meet Gloucester County's First Baby Born In 2023 At Jefferson Health
Olive's parents welcomed their new daughter at 9:59 a.m. on New Year's Day at Jefferson Washington Township Hospital.

WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP, NJ — Olive Mattioli was ready to be born on New Year's Day.
Little Olive became the first Gloucester County baby to be born in 2023, when her parents welcomed her at 9:59 a.m. Sunday at Jefferson Washington Township Hospital. She weighed five pounds, 14 ounces.
Her parents, Francesca and Andrew of Glassboro, had a planned C-section on Jan. 11 to welcome their second daughter. But Francesca went into labor the morning of New Year's Day, according to a news release from Jefferson Health New Jersey.

OB/GYN Alyssa Kurtz, DO delivered the baby with Anna O'Neill, MD as attending physician.
Olive's 13-month-old sister Eliza was also born at Jefferson Health NJ, according to the hospital system.
