Motorcyclist Killed After Crash Pins Him Under Vehicle In South Jersey: Police

Several officers and bystanders lifted the vehicle off the motorcyclist, who died at the hospital, police said.

DEPTFORD, NJ — A motorcyclist died after a crash left him pinned under another vehicle Saturday morning in Deptford Township, authorities said. The incident remains under investigation.

Deptford police responded to the reported crash at about 8:30 a.m. at the intersection of Deptford Avenue and Tacoma Boulevard. Officers determined that a vehicle collided with a motorcycle, and the motorcyclist was still pinned underneath the car.

Several officers and bystanders lifted the vehicle off the motorcyclist — a 39-year-old Woodbury man — police said. Officials took him to Cooper University Hospital, where he died shortly after arriving.

Deptford Township police said they'll release the decedent's name once they've made proper notifications. The other driver was a 34-year-old National Park man who police also have not publicly identified.

Police didn't immediately release details on how the collision may have occurred.
