Move Your Cars Please, Contractor Advises Some West Deptford Residents

Road work is scheduled to start Monday in part of the township.

WEST DEPTFORD – Weather permitting and barring any unexpected problems, road work will start Monday in part of West Deptford, according to a letter from Sevenson Environmental Services — the contractor of the work — that was sent to township residents.

Vehicles cannot be driven and/or parked on streets while the road work takes place and until a specific project is given the contractor’s all-clear and/or meets New Jersey Department of Transportation standards, the letter indicated.

Specific days, times and projects are:

  • Monday morning = Birchly Court will be milled and base coated
  • Monday afternoon = Oakmont Court will be milled
  • Tuesday = Woodlane Drive from Hessian Avenue to Crown Point Road with half of Woodlane Drive to be paved from Hessian Avenue
  • Tuesday (exact time of day to be determined) = Oakmont Court will be paved
  • Wednesday = The rest of Woodland Drive will be paved along with Birchly Court

“Our focus remains on providing a quality product while ensuring the safety of all residents and employees involved with the project,” the letter stated.

“Although roadways will be open as soon as possible, we advise residents to try and refrain from extended parking on newly placed asphalt for 5 days to ensure adequate curing time,” the letter continued.
