New Case Of Coronavirus Reported In West Deptford

WEST DEPTFORD, NJ — A 31-year-old West Deptford woman was one of 28 new cases of the coronavirus that were reported in Gloucester County on Tuesday.

As of Tuesday, Gloucester County has conducted 9,371 total tests. Of these cases, 7,424 have come back negative and 14 are pending. One case was moved out of county.

The county now has 1,932 cases of the coronavirus, with 126 confirmed deaths. Five new deaths were announced on Tuesday. Trace investigations are underway in all new cases.

The following information was available about the new deaths:

• The 122nd patient death was an 85-year-old male from Deptford.
• The 123rd patient death was a 48-year-old female from Harrison Twp.
• The 124th patient death was an 86-year-old male form Deptford.
• The 125th patient death was a 95-year-old female from Washington Twp.
• The 126th patient death was a 77-year-old female from Deptford.

At this time, the overall threat of the coronavirus to Gloucester County residents remains low, officials said. Gloucester County is expecting cases to rise. Social distancing is critical in flattening the curve and reducing cases.
