The owner of a pair of restaurants in Haddon Township and Philadelphia is bringing a new restaurant to the building formerly occupied by the Lobster Trap in Cooper River Park, the Camden County Freeholder Board announced Monday morning.
Kevin Meeker, current owner of Haddon Township’s Keg and Kitchen and previous owner of the acclaimed Philadelphia Fish Company, heads the KTMK Group, which is bringing the new restaurant to the 6,572-square-foot facility known as the Hadley House.
Camden County selected the KTMK Group in a competitive bidding process.

“This will be the perfect place to enjoy a meal along the river, or to have a relaxing dinner with an incredible sunset as a backdrop,” Freeholder Jeffrey Nash, liaison to the Camden County Parks Department, said. “We are excited to have Kevin Meeker and Tony Clark associated with this project. Their work is worthy of this great location.”
“This new venture will combine our collective vision to provide a cutting edge restaurant in one of the most desirable locations in South Jersey for the residents of Camden County and beyond,” Meeker said. “The concept and forthcoming construction will create an ideal space for patrons to enjoy the natural beauty of the Cooper River and the 374-acre park that surrounds it.”
Celebrated Chef and Culinary Institute of America graduate Tony Clark who has showcased his gastronomic talents at The Four Seasons, The Old Grange and the Valley Forge Casino, will run the kitchen. Clark is also the featured Chef on Comcast’s syndicated TV show Rock Star Kitchen.
“We are currently transforming Cooper River Park to create an even better version of this signature green space where Camden County comes to meet,” “To complete this vision we knew we needed a signature restaurant that would be a destination itself within the park.”
The unnamed restaurant is due to open in summer 2015.
