NJ Man Guilty Of Sexually Assaulting Teenage Girl

The girl was between the ages of 13 and 16.

PAULSBORO, NJ — A 48-year-old man was found guilty on Tuesday of sexually assaulting a child, the Gloucester County Prosecutor's Office said.

Jason L. Bailey, of Paulsboro, was convicted on charges of first-degree aggravated sexual assault, second-degree endangering the welfare of a child, third-degree aggravated criminal sexual contact, and fourth-degree refusal to provide a DNA sample.

Bailey committed the acts on Dec. 10, 2023 with a girl who was between the ages of 13 and 16, officials said.

When he was arrested, he refused to provide a DNA sample, as required by law.

The jury also found Bailey to be a persistent offender based on his criminal history.

He faces up to life in jail and, if released, will have to register as a sex offender under Megan's Law.

Bailey would also be subject to parole supervision for life.
