No Swimming Allowed, For Now, At This South Jersey State Park

The lake near Vineland has been closed since Wednesday, nj.com reported.

PITTSGROVE, NJ —Swimming was off limits in the lake at Parvin State Park in Pittsgrove, according to the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection website.

"Poor water quality" was cited as the reason for the closure. The park was first reported closed on Wednesday, nj.com reported.

The state Department of Environmental Protection's website did not give a date for when Parvin State Park Lake might reopen.

So in the meantime, other places to take a dip near the lake include the Green-Fields Swim Club in West Deptford and Wenonah Swim Slub in Wenonah.

There are also pools located within the Capri Swim Club and Northwest Swim Club in nearby Vineland. Or you can google "public pools near me" for other options.
