Pedestrian Hit, Killed By Car In South Jersey

A man walking along a Vineland street was killed in the crash, police said.

VINELAND, NJ — A man walking along Chestnut Avenue in Vineland was struck and killed by a car Monday, police said.

The victim was described as a Hispanic man who was about 25 years old and wearing a white t-shirt and black jeans at the time of the crash, according to police.

The victim's name was not immediately released.

The initial investigation indicates George Goldsboro, Jr., 56, of Vineland, was driving east on Chestnut Avenue shortly after 9:45 p.m. on Monday when Goldsboro's car collided with the victim, police said.

No charges were immediately filed, and the investigation was still ongoing as of Wednesday, according to police.
