Pedestrian Struck In South Jersey Hit-And-Run: Police
Authorities are seeking the vehicle involved in the early morning incident.

WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP, NJ — A driver struck a pedestrian and fled the scene early Wednesday morning in Washington Township, authorities said.
Officers responded to the crash at about 2:30 a.m. at Hurffville-Cross Keys Road and Westbury Drive. A vehicle hit the pedestrian in the southbound lane of Hurffville-Cross Keys Road while the person was walking, police said.
The driver fled the scene upon impact, police said. Authorities didn't immediately have word on any injuries.

Police believe the striking vehicle is a Hyundai — possibly a Sonata. The color is unknown, but the vehicle should have front-end damage to the hood, grille and bumper, officials said.
Hurffville-Cross Keys Road was closed for about 2 hours.
