Primary Day 2017: Who's On The Ballot, Where To Vote In West Deptford

Tuesday, June 6, is also the final day to register as an independent candidate, and unaffiliated voters can vote in the primaries.

WEST DEPTFORD, NJ — West Deptford voters will head to the polls to cast their votes in three contested primaries on Tuesday, June 6. Polls are open 6 a.m.-8 p.m.

At the General Assembly level, three Democrats are running for two open seats. John Burzichelli, Adam Taliaferro and John Kalnas are running for a pair of open seats. Republicans Phillip Donohue and Linwood Donelson III are running unopposed.

Then, of course there are the two primaries in the gubernatorial election.

The Republican Primary features Lt. Gov. Kim Guadagno, Assemblyman Jack Ciattarelli, Nutley Town Commissioner Steve Rogers, businessman Joe Rullo and businessman Hirsch Singh.

The Democratic Primary features former U.S. Ambassador to Germany Phil Murphy, former U.S. Treasury Under Secretary Jim Johnson, State Sen. Ray Lesniak, State Assemblyman John Wisniewski, Tenfaly City Councilman Mark Zinna and law school graduate Bill Brennan.

Unaffiliated voters can vote in Tuesday’s primaries by showing up at the polls and registering with the party of the primary in which they intend to vote. Voters can change their affiliation back after the election is over.
