Procession To Honor Fallen NJ Officer Robert 'Bobby' Shisler
Deptford Officer Bobby Shisler, whose death was announced Sunday, will get transferred back to the township.
DEPTFORD TOWNSHIP, NJ — Robert "Bobby" Shisler, a fallen police officer whose death was announced Sunday, will get transferred back to Deptford.
The Deptford Police Department invited outside law enforcement, first responders and the public to attend the honorable transfer, which will take Shisler from the Philadelphia Medical Examiner’s Office to Boucher Funeral Home.
Shisler was shot March 10 during an on-dutry altercation, which also resulted in a civilian's death that day. The Deptford community rallied around him as he fought to recover. Read more: Deptford Community Continues To Rally Around Officer Bobby Shisler

Members of the public wishing to attend the procession are asked to line Delsea Drive, between Cooper Street and Herman Avenue, any time after 9:45 a.m. Officials will block off Delsea Drive between Cooper Street and Brenner Drive.
Deptford police officers who aren't part of the procession will gather at 8:30 a.m. at the funeral home. At the same time, outside law enforcement will muster at the Deptford Township Community Center, while fire departments will assemble in the Bowlero bowling alley's parking lot.
