Rowan, Lautenberg Hosting Bullying Round Table

A panel of experts will talk about the dangers of bullying and how to handle problems.

Bullying is the new buzzword.

From Rutgers freshman Tyler Clementi to new state regulations dealing with bullying in schools, it’s been a major topic over the past year.

With that in mind, the Office of U.S. Sen. Frank Lautenberg is hosting a forum at Rowan University’s Enyon Ballroom in Glassboro on Tuesday evening, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., to tackle questions about what resources are available at the state and federal level to address bullying.

“Bullying is an obstacle to learning that robs young people of their dignity and self-esteem and it must not be tolerated,” Lautenberg said. “This forum will address important steps that can be taken to create a safer environment for young people.”

The event is free and open to the public, and parking is available in Rowan’s Lot A, along Route 322.
