Small Plane Crashes In South Jersey

The cropduster plane crashed at about 9:45 a.m. Saturday, New Jersey State Police said.

HOPEWELL TOWNSHIP, NJ — Several agencies appear to be involved in the investigation into a crash involving a small cropduster plane in Cumberland County.

The plane crashed in the area of Cassidy Court and state Route 49 in Hopewell Township shortly before 9:45 Saturday morning, New Jersey State Police said.

Hopewell Township is just west of Bridgeton.

The pilot was taken to Cooper University Hospital to be treated for injuries suffered in the crash, state police said.

The pilot's identity and hometown were not released as of Tuesday.

The New Jersey State Police referred Patch to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) for more information regarding the crash. The FAA told Patch to contact the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB).

Neither the FAA nor the NTSB had any information regarding the cause of the crash.
