South Jersey House Fire Puts 3 In Critical Condition

2 elderly victims were flown to burn centers in Philadelphia.

FRANKLIN TOWNSHIP, NJ — Three people remain in critical condition following a house fire Monday night in Franklin Township, officials said.

Crews responded to the "fully involved" house fire at 8:57 p.m. on the 1700 block of West Boulevard, police said. Three people were trapped inside the two-story home.

Fire crews and first responders rescued the victims — all residents of the home. A 77-year-old man and 76-year-old woman were flown to burn centers in Philadelphia. Officials transported a 31-year-old man by ground to Crozer-Chester Medical Center in Upland, Pennsylvania.

All three victims were listed in critical condition as of 6 a.m. Tuesday, police said.

The Gloucester County Fire Marshal's Office is investigating the cause of the fire.
