
SALEM COUNTY, NJ — The Salem County Sheriff's Office is mourning the loss of one of its own.
Salem County K-9 Officer, "Bandit," a 12-year veteran of the force, died on March 30, the agency said.
Bandit began his term in 2013, serving as an explosion detection dog.

As a force safeguarding county buildings and properties, his services also took him to the Miss America Pageant, a Papal visit, college football games, Professional Golf Association (PGA) tournaments, and Super Bowl XLVIII.
Bandit worked and lived with Cpl. M. Warren and his family.

"He will be missed and fondly remembered," added Sheriff Charles M. Miller.
