St. Joseph Pro-Cathedral School Fifth Graders Grow Good Health with Tower Gardens
Fifth graders from St. Joseph Pro-Cathedral School in Camden recently learned the lost art of gardening and preparing their own food through “Grow Good Health with Tower Gardens” by Juice Plus+. Through this interactive, hands-on learning experience, students and teachers set up the gardens and learned about sustainability, environmental awareness and health and nutrition.
St. Joseph Pro Cathedral School is the first Camden City School to participate in this program.
“The students are so proud of their accomplishments, especially as they watch the gardens grow daily in their cafeteria,” said Jim Catrambone, executive director, The Joseph Fund, the organization that provided funding for the program. “The kids are so excited about the program they have volunteered their time to come back to school over Christmas break to care for the produce.”
