Barricaded South Jersey Man Surrenders After SWAT Standoff That Forced Evacuations
A SWAT team has responded to a barricaded man with a long gun in New Jersey, reports say. Local evacuations are underway.

WILLIAMSTOWN, NJ — A barricaded man has surrendered Friday after a standoff with police in South Jersey, according to reports.
No further details on the man were given, and the story is developing. But he was described as having a "long gun."

Local evacuations were underway as police were forcing nearby residents in Williamstown of Monroe Township, Gloucester County, to evacuate.
At least one family was evacuated, according to 6abc.

The standoff began at 4:30 a.m. when a person barricaded himself in a home near Meadows Drive near North Main Street, according to the report.
North Main Street had been shut down as police and SWAT teams have been involved.
Nearby residents say they are keeping their kids home from school, according to nj.com, as a result of the incident.
