Start Your Career as a Certified Peer Recovery Specialist

Rowan College of South Jersey will hold an information session on their Certified Peer Recovery Specialist program on Tuesday, December 10.

The Workforce Development Center at Rowan College of South Jersey (RCSJ) –Gloucester Campus will hold an information session on their Certified Peer Recovery Specialist program on Tuesday, Dec. 10, at 6 p.m. Information about the RCSJ certificate program will be provided, and College staff will be available to discuss application requirements. The program is sponsored by the Gloucester County Board of Chosen Freeholders, and offered in partnership with the Center for Family Services.

Peer Recovery Specialists have direct experience with substance abuse – their own or a close family member’s – and they apply that experience by providing non-clinical assistance to individuals struggling to overcome the same issues. The certification program will prepare students to become skilled specialists in a variety of settings, including treatment centers, hospitals, recovery centers, faith-based organizations and other community settings.

For more information and to RSVP, contact Felicia Carroll at 856-415-2216 or email fcarroll@rcsj.edu.
