Steve Jakubowski Rakes in Postseason Awards at LIU
The senior and West Deptford High School alum was an academic All-American, among other honors.
It was a good year for Steve Jakubowski on the field for Long Island University: The senior scored four goals—including one game-winner—and three assists to lead the men’s soccer team through an up-and-down season.
It may have been an even better year off it for the West Deptford High School product, though.
Jakubowski was named the 2011 Northeast Conference men's soccer Scholar-Athlete of the Year last week, capping an offseason full of honors.

A double major in finance and business management, Jakubowski carries a 3.74 grade point average.
