These Employers Will Attend Gloucester County Disability Job Fair

GLOUCESTER COUNTY, NJ — Gloucester County’s annual Disability Employment Job Fair and Resource Event will take place on Sept. 17, 9 a.m. to noon at Rowan College of South Jersey, county officials announced on Thursday. The college is located at 1400 Tanyard Road in Sewell, 08080.

All job seekers must register to attend by calling 856-384-6963. Attendees should dress for success and bring copies of your resume. Attendees must maintain social distancing and wear a mask while present at the fair to comply with health guidelines set forth by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to stop the spread of the coronavirus.

"The goal of the Disability Job Fair is to open more doors to employment opportunities for job seekers with disabilities," Gloucester County Freeholder Director Robert M. Damminger said.

The county has recorded free workshops designed to help job seekers. They have been posted and can be viewed here: www.gcwdb.org.

“We are committed to providing resources and opportunities to individuals with disabilities, so they can meet employers with job openings and gain more insight on what type of employment opportunities are available to them,” Gloucester County Freeholder Heather Simmons, liaison to Economic Development, said.

“We encourage all potential employers to embrace diversity as they seek to fill positions by considering the talents of all workers, including those with disabilities,” Gloucester County Freeholder Jim Jefferson, liaison to the Department of Health and Human Services, said.
