Thorofare Wawa Hiring for New Expansion

With the soon-to-be operational gas station comes some new job openings for the Crown Point Road Wawa.

Soon to be up and ready for business, the new expansion to the Wawa on Crown Point Road will bring some much needed fuel service—and jobs—to the area.

Located at 196 Crown Point Rd. in Thorofare, the Wawa is currently looking for applicants both in customer service and fuel service. Customer service assistants are responsible for operations such as manning the cash register, coffee bar, ovens and food service. Fuel service workers will work primarily with the pumps and related operations.

Prospective employees may apply for either position online.

Applicants must be at least 16 years old and have a reliable means of transportation in order to be considered for a position.

According to Wawa spokeswoman Lori Bruce, the fuel service expansion to the already existing Wawa is expected to be completed by late March or early April. However, there is no exact date for when the pumps will be fully operational, as of now.

Construction on the expansion began in December, after demolition crews leveled the small plaza that housed the former Ciconte’s Pizzeria. Since then, the pizzeria has relocated to the former Helen’s Greentree Restaurant on Grove Street.

During the remainder of the construction, the Wawa will remain open.
