WATCH: Deer Smashes Into Business, Knocks Over Christmas Tree In South Jersey

SEWELL, NJ — This deer will have a hard time passing the background check to pull Santa's sleigh.

A South Jersey business experienced a break-in at their office last weekend. Staff at A.M. Botte Mechanical in Sewell returned to find their glass door smashed in and their Christmas tree knocked over.

The culprit? A deer caught on tape.

A.M. Botte, an HVAC and plumbing company, shared surveillance footage of the incident. (Watch below.)

The footage — set to "Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree" — shows the deer dashing through the parking lot and smashing its way through the business's glass door. It then runs into and knocks over the Christmas tree.

The culprit stood for a bit and looked around at the damage before hightailing it out of there.

No injuries were reported, and no grandmas were run over during the incident.

Washington Township police described the suspect as "approximately 4 feet tall, brown fur, white tail, and moving faster than Santa's sleigh."

But A.M. Botte let it slide — it's the holidays, after all.

"We're taking this as a sign," the business said, "our holiday specials must be TOO exciting to resist!"
