WATCH: Police Release Video In NJ Mall Assault Over Parking Spot
Surveillance video captured the fight that began as a parking dispute at the Deptford Mall.

DEPTFORD TOWNSHIP, NJ - Deptford police have released surveillance video that captured a fight involving four adults and three teens outside the Deptford Mall. The video, posted on the police department’s Facebook page, can be seen below.
The video shows 18-year-old Taylor McFadden and her friends, Alexandra DeRusso and Tatum Bohanon, both 19, leaving the mall in the area of Modell’s and going to a car in the parking lot. A few minutes later, a white Pontiac pulls up and stops briefly before backing up.
A group of people walk past the car and toward the crosswalk before one of the women in the group turns back and goes toward the car. The other three people with her follow. A few seconds later, a fight breaks out as some passersby stop to watch. The video then ends.

On Tuesday, McFadden told Patch that one of the women told them, “I hope you’re not talking to us,” as they walked by. The women then assaulted DeRusso and Bohanon, who were standing outside the car smoking. McFadden called 911 before getting out of the car and also being attacked.
All three teens suffered concussions, and McFadden and Bohanon suffered sprains in their necks, McFadden said. DeRusso suffered two black eyes.
“The injured females initially refused medical treatment at the scene but later responded to Jefferson Washington Hospital,” police said.
The investigation continued as of Wednesday morning. Anyone with additional information is urged to contact Detective Louisa Medany at 856-845-6300, ext. 1337.
