WDHS Girls' Soccer Unhorses Knights

The Eagles beat Sterling, 4-0, Monday afternoon.

keeper Alicia Barger notched her eighth shutout of the season and the offense provided a barrage to back her up, as the girls’ soccer team beat Sterling, 4-0, in a Colonial Conference game Monday afternoon.

Barger had a lot of help from her defense, only facing two shots the entire afternoon, while the Eagles’ offense piled up 18 shots through the course of the game.

West Deptford cruised to a 2-0 lead at halftime, and got goals from Regina Kelly, Jordan Stanek, Danielle McKeown and Jamie Cary. Sterling keeper Rachel Hafer made 14 saves in the losing effort.

West Deptford improved to 12-4 overall and 12-3 in conference play with the win.
