West Deptford Football Team In Playoff Position Ahead Of Cutoff
The Eagles visit Collingswood in the final game before the playoff matchups announced.

WEST DEPTFORD, NJ — With one game left before the cutoff date, the West Deptford High School football team is in position to make a playoff appearance. In fact, the Eagles (6-1, 134 points) sits atop NJSIAA South Jersey Group 2, according to the power points standings released on Monday.
A team earns six points for a win, plus between one and five points, depending on what group the team it defeated is in, and a residual point for each win that team has. A team's first eight games count toward its final point total, but the lowest point total among these games is dropped, so seven total games count toward the final tally. The top eight teams in each group qualify for the playoffs. Matchups will be announced next week.
West Deptford is five points ahead of second place Cedar Creek (6-2, 129 points) and nine points ahead of third place Camden (6-1, 125 points). The Eagles visit Collingswood (2-5, 51 points) on Friday night, 7 p.m. Cedar Creek visits Oakcrest (1-6) on Friday night, 6 p.m.; and Camden visits Winslow (3-4) on Friday night, 7 p.m.
