West Deptford Girls' Basketball Lowers Boom on Heights

Seven different players scored for the Eagles in a 59-44 win.

Someone needs to pick up coffee for the girls' basketball team Wednesday morning, because these girls are closers.

Knotted at 33-33 with Haddon Heights after three quarters Tuesday night, the Eagles put together a dominant fourth quarter, scoring 26 points to pull away and finish off the Garnets, 59-44.

The Eagles were led by Danielle McKeown, who racked up 23 points–12 on free throws alone–on the night, and Megan Kirschling, who added 14.

Scoring came from up and down the roster, though, as Dai'jah Diggs, Tarryn Bundy, Megan Knoblock, Tina Furfari and Paige Paratore all scored at least one bucket in the game.

West Deptford had to weather a 26-point performance by Haddon Heights' Nadia Riggs, who was the only Garnets player to crack double digits.
