West Deptford High School Baseball Team to Compete in Diamond Classic
The Diamond Classic is the unofficial championship tournament of South Jersey baseball.

West Deptford, NJ -- The West Deptford High School baseball team is ready to make a run at South Jersey’s unofficial championship.
The Eagles (13-4, first place in the Colonial Conference Liberty Division) open the 43rd annual Joe Hartmann Diamond Classic at Washington Township against Cherry Hill West (9-4, No. 4 at-large team) on Saturday, 10:30 a.m., according to the Courier Post.
A total of 16 teams from what is traditionally considered the South Jersey area will compete in the tournament, with 10 teams qualifying because they were in first place in their division at the cutoff date and six other teams qualifying as wild-card teams.

The second round is scheduled for Saturday, May 21. The semifinals and finals are scheduled for Sunday, May 22.
