West Deptford High School Football Team Advances in Playoffs

The Eagles downed Overbrook in the quarterfinals Friday night.

The West Deptford High School football team scored twice in the first quarter and never looked back en route to a 33-25 win over Overbrook in the quarterfinals of the NJSIAA South Jersey Group II playoffs Friday night, according to nj.com.

Quaran Dozier and Nick Diaco each accounted for two touchdowns in the top-seeded Eagles’ victory over the No. 8 Rams.

Dozier scored both first quarter touchdowns, on runs of 32 and 3 yards.

Diaco scored on runs of 26 and 5 yards.

The defense then held off an Overbrook rally, as the Rams scored 18 unanswered points.

West Deptford will host No. 4 Buena, a 28-7 winner over No. 5 Cinnaminson, in the semifinals on Friday night, Nov. 20.
