West Deptford MVC Center Closed Over Positive Coronavirus Test
The West Deptford MVC center is the ninth motor vehicle center currently closed due to positive coronavirus tests.
WEST DEPTFORD, NJ — For the third time in four months, the West Deptford Motor Vehicle Commission Regional location has shut down after an employee tested positive for the coronavirus.
“West Deptford Regional/Licensing Center is closed due to an employee testing positive for COVID-19, and will reopen Thursday, Dec. 3,” the New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission (MVC) announced on Twitter.

As of Tuesday morning, nine motor vehicle centers were closed due to positive coronavirus tests, according to the MVC’s website. In addition to West Deptford, centers in Salem, Lodi, Delanco, Lakewood, Flemington, Wallington, Wayne and Bayonne were closed due to positive coronavirus tests.

The West Deptford closure comes as the number of coronavirus cases increases locally and nationally. According to the most recent numbers from the Gloucester County Department of Health, 488 West Deptford residents had tested positive for the coronavirus since the pandemic began, and 20 have died.
