West Deptford Wrestling Team Seeded No. 6 In Playoffs

WEST DEPTFORD, NJ — The West Deptford High School wrestling team will start its playoff quest on the road.

West Deptford is the No. 6 seed in the NJSIAA South Jersey Group 2 tournament, according to nj.com. The Eagles will visit No. 3 Cinnaminson in the first round on Monday night, Feb. 5. The winner faces the winner of the match between No. 2 Haddonfield and No. 7 Sterling in the semifinals on Feb. 7.

Point Pleasant Boro is the No. 1 overall seed, and will host No. 8 Barnegat in the first round on Monday night, Feb. 5. The winner faces the winner of the match between No. 4 Delran and No. 5 Oakcrest in the semifinals on Feb. 7.

The championship match is scheduled for Feb. 9.

West Deptford is 14-12, and fell to Cinnaminson, 44-18, on Jan. 20. Cinnaminson is 14-5 this season.
