Woman Rescued From Delaware River In Camden County

GLOUCESTER CITY, NJ — A woman was rescued from a car that somehow ended upside down in the Delaware River near Freedom Pier on Thursday afternoon, the Gloucester City Police Department said.

Three members of the Gloucester City Police Department rescued the woman from her car and were providing medical assistance when three good samaritans on a nearby boat arrived, according to police. No one else was inside the vehicle, police said.

The good samaritans took the three police department members and woman to shore, where emergency medical technicians took the woman to a hospital, according to police.
