Woodbury Mews Introduces Complimentary Summer Classes for Seniors
Gloucester County Retirement Community Offers Wide Variety of Course Offerings to Enhance the Mind, Body and Spirit

Woodbury, N.J.. –Woodbury Mews, a Watermark Retirement Community, has released its Watermark University Summer 2018 class offerings. Now through August, the community offers residents and area seniors more than 25 class and program options, from Tai Chi and ballroom dancing to cooking classes and lively discussions about Philly sports. Participants will have opportunities to enhance their minds, bodies and spirits and make meaningful connections with old and new friends.
Classes are made available to Woodbury Mews residents and Gloucester County seniors because of the Woodbury Mews residents, associates, loved ones and guest experts who share their time and talents as instructors. Woodbury Mews Community Life Director Susan Sacks recently won a ‘Rookie of the Year’ award from Watermark for her efforts in just one year to assemble a packed calendar of events at the community, including the wide variety of Watermark University courses. Sacks, a resident of Erial, N.J., even teaches the ‘Cooking for Life’ course, during which she shares her passion for food and healthy living with participants. The course meets every second Tuesday and second Wednesday of the month at 3:15 p.m. Participants cook, taste food and learn about the origins or health benefits of ingredients. They also often sip on a cocktail or wine while celebrating the power of food in bringing people together.
A not-to-miss one-time class this semester is ‘Philly Talk’ with sports radio personality Russ Cohen on July 13 at 2 p.m. Cohen will focus on the Phillies, but field questions about all of Philadelphia’s beloved sports teams. He hosts programs on Sirius/XM and Sportstalkny WLIE 540 AM.
