1 Car Stolen, 1 Burglarized In Westfield
A 2017 blue-colored Mercedes Benz GLS 450 valued at $50,000 was reportedly stolen while parked in Westfield.
WESTFIELD, NJ — One car was stolen and another burglarized while parked in Westfield, according to the police blotter.
On June 4 at 8:44 a.m.: A resident of the 400 block of Kimball Avenue reported being the victim of a motor vehicle theft. The theft occurred between 9:30 p.m. on June 3 and 8:35 a.m. on June 4. The vehicle was locked at the time of the theft and the owner had the keys. Inside the vehicle was property totaling $2,405 and the value of the 2017 blue-colored Mercedes Benz GLS 450 was $50,000.
On May 28 at 3:29 p.m.: A resident of the 400 block Colonial Avenue reports being the victim of a burglary to a motor vehicle and a theft. The victim said that between May 27 and May 28 someone entered his vehicle and stole a bag containing numerous documents and miscellaneous items.
