$125K Lincoln School Project Playground In Need Of Donations
Erika Witte is spearheading the campaign to make the playground more inclusive for all students, including those with mobility challenges.

WESTFIELD, NJ — In an effort to make Lincoln School playground more inclusive for all students, including those with mobility challenges, Westfield parent Erika Witte has started a fundraiser.
As of Friday, the Lincoln PTO has raised $112,000, which is just shy of their $125,000 goal, according to Mayor Shelley Brindle.
The project spearheaded by Witte along with other parents on the PTO is looking to add more pieces of accessible equipment to the Lincoln playgrounds.

Specifically, the pieces to be added include a train engine play space, a Volta-inclusive spinner, and Novo Arch benches at the playground closest to the school.
The plan also includes an accessible swing set, Brava universal swing, and a Rev8 spinner to be added to the playground closest to the decorative fence by the field.

"Together, we can create a more accessible and more inclusive play space where children all over the Westfield community can enjoy playing together!" according to the Lincoln PTO.
