$160K In New Aquatic Playground Equipment Unveiled At Westfield Pool

WESTFIELD, NJ — More than $160,000 in aquatic playground equipment was unveiled at Memorial Pool in Westfield ahead of the summer season.

The Westfield Memorial Pool shared photos of the newest additions.

"We're thrilled to announce the addition of our brand new features to our splash pad! Don’t forget to snap a picture with your favorite sea critter on opening day!" wrote Westfield Memorial Pool.

The Town Council previously unanimously approved a resolution in June 2024 for the purchase of $160,907.50 to MRC Recreation, representing Water Odyssey by Fountain People, at the May 28 meeting.

The cost covered the new equipment, installation, and service. Specifically, the equipment updated spray features in the kids' pool.

For the 2025 season, there is no increase to Westfield's Memorial Pool rates for 2025.

The Town Council passed a resolution at its Dec. 17, 2024 meeting for the membership rates for the 2025 season. Those rates are as follows:

RESIDENTS

• Family (5 or more) $623
• Family (4 or less) $504
• Couples, Parent/Child (under 18) $354
• Individual $229
• Senior $90
• Caregiver $119

NON-RESIDENT:

• Family (5 or more) $946
• Family (4 or less) $827
• Couples, Parent/Child (under 18) $666
• Individual $442
• Senior $155
• Caregiver $224

The Westfield Memorial Pool and Aquatic Complex is a public swim facility open to both Westfield and non-Westfield residents. The Pool Complex offers:

• 50-meter 165-foot by 75-foot main pool
• 8-lane competitive lap pool
• Diving pool
• Two large water slides
• 2 foot deep children's training pool
• Zero-entry children's pool
• Newly renovated splash pad connected to the zero-entry pool
• Snack bar
• Picnic area
• Playground with private access only to pool patrons
• Large grass areas for private space
