4 DWI Arrests, Fraud, Counterfeit Reported In Westfield

WESTFIELD, NJ — Four driving while intoxicated arrests, fraud, and counterfeit money were reported in Westfield recently.

On March 29 at 1:59 a.m.: Damilola Ojoye, 30, Atlanta, GA, was placed under arrest on Mountain Avenue for driving while intoxicated after a motor vehicle stop investigation. He was taken to Westfield Police Headquarters, processed, and released upon the issuance of summonses.

On March 29 at 2:45 a.m.: Vincio Pintado Auquill, 32, Woodside, NY, was placed under arrest on Mountain Avenue for driving while intoxicated after a motor vehicle stop investigation. He was transported to Westfield Police Headquarters, processed, and released upon the issuance of summonses.
On March 31 at 11:05 p.m.: Ryan Coleman, 33, Avenel, was placed under arrest for driving while intoxicated after a motor vehicle stop and a roadside investigation in the 500 block of West South Avenue. Coleman was issued summonses with a mandatory Westfield Municipal Court date.

On April 1 at 3:45 a.m.: Jennell Carter, 39, Westfield, was placed under arrest for driving while intoxicated pursuant to an investigation into a suspicious motor vehicle parked in the 500 block of Summit Avenue. Carter was later transported to Westfield Police Headquarters, where she was processed and issued summonses with a mandatory Westfield Municipal Court.
On April 3 at 5:47 p.m.: A resident of the 500 block of Hillcrest Avenue reported fraudulent access to an account to make unauthorized purchases.
On April 3 at 7:40 p.m.: A manager at a business in the 200 block of E. North Avenue reported that an unknown actor purchased a $250 gift card using suspected counterfeit currency.
On April 4 at 5:32 p.m.: A resident of the 600 block of Rahway Avenue reports that an unknown actor used his identity to purchase a cellular phone.
