7 Cars Burglarized, 1 Stolen In Westfield

All of the vehicles were left unlocked.

WESTFIELD, NJ — A total of seven cars were burglarized and one was stolen in Westfield recently. All were left unlocked, according to the Westfield Police blotter.

On July 1 at 9:23 a.m.: A resident from the 900 block of Carlton Road reported the theft of their 2011 Nissan Murano from their driveway between 5 p.m. on June 29 and July 1 at 9:23 a.m. The vehicle was unlocked with the ignition key inside at the time of the theft.

On July 9 at 1:50 a.m.: A resident of St. Marks Avenue reported his vehicle was burglarized which resulted in the theft of personal property from inside the unlocked vehicle. Approximate value of items stolen was $205.

On July 9 at 7:58 a.m.: The resident of 600 block of Tremont reported that two of their vehicle were burglarized. Both vehicles were left unlocked and parked on the property. The victim reported that approximately $50 was taken from the vehicles in total.

On July 9 at 9:21 a.m.: A resident of the 600 block of St. Marks reported that their vehicle was burglarized. The vehicle was parked in front of the home and left unlocked. The victim reports approximately $8 was taken from the vehicle.

On July 9 at 6:25 p.m.: A resident of the 200 block of Baker Avenue reported that his vehicle was burglarized. The vehicle was parked in his driveway and left unlocked. The victim reports approximately $10 was taken from the vehicle.

On July 10 at 10:59 a.m.: A resident in the 500 block of St. Marks Avenue reported a burglary and theft from their vehicle while it was parked in their driveway and unlocked between 6 p.m. on July 9 and 8:30 a.m. on July 10.

On July 10 at 11:24 a.m.: A resident in the 500 block of St. Marks Avenue reported a burglary and theft from their vehicle while it was parked in their driveway and unlocked between midnight on July 9 and 7 a.m. on July 10.

On July 1 at 6:05 p.m.: Angel Colon Jr., 26, of Newark was arrested for possession of marijuana under 50 grams and Nelson Felicano Jr., 43, of Newark on two outstanding warrants totaling $782 out of Millburn following a traffic stop in the area of East South Avenue and Livingston Street. Both were transported to headquarters. Colon Jr. was processed and released on a summonses. Felicano Jr. was processed and turned over to Millburn Police.

On July 2 at 11:37 p.m.: Chad Doriral, 32, of Brooklyn, New York was arrested for possession of controlled dangerous substance(CDS) following a traffic stop. He was processed and released on summonses.

On July 3 at 11:08 p.m.: Divine Kennedy, 19, of Newark was arrested on outstanding warrants from Westfield for $1,000; Newark for $550 and Springfield for $300.

On July 5 at 10:27 a.m.: A resident from the 800 block of Forest Avenue reported that an unknown person scratched the paint on their vehicle and poured an unknown substance on the vehicle causing damage to the paint. The incident occurred between June 21 and July 5. The value of the damage was unknown at the time of the report.

On July 6 at 2:48 p.m.: Martesse Gilliam, 32, of Westfield was arrested on an outstanding warrant from Maplewood for $300 following a traffic stop. He was transported to headquarters where he was processed and released after posting full bail.

On July 7 at 9:24 p.m.: Abilio Oliveira, 37, of Newark was arrested on a no bail Essex County Sheriff’s warrant following a traffic stop in the area of East North Avenue and South Euclid Avenue. He was transported to headquarters where he was processed and turned over to Essex County Sheriff’s Office.

On July 7 at 9:07 p.m.: Reginald M. Thomas, 44, of Perth Amboy for possession of CDS under 5 grams following a traffic stop at 600 South Ave. West. He also had an outstanding warrant out of Elizabeth fr $155. He was processed and released on a summonses after posting full bail.

On July 8: Christian E. Grom of Westfield was arrested for possession of CDS under 50 grams and possession of drug paraphernalia following a traffic stop near the intersection of Mountain Avenue and Driftway. He was transported to headquarters where he was processed and released on summonses.

On July 9 at 2:35 p.m.: A resident in the 700 block of Kimball Avenue reports being a victim of identity theft. The victim reports someone attempted to apply for a loan using her information without her knowledge or authorization on June 25. The victim reported no monetary loss from this incident.

On July 10 at 6:37 a.m.: A resident in the 800 block of Forest Avenue reported someone scratched the roof of their vehicle between 11 p.m. on July 9 and 6:37 a.m. on July 10 causing an unknown amount of damage.

On July 11 at 2:33 p.m.: A Westfield resident reported the theft of a black Trek Mountain Bike 200 with 24-inch wheels valued at $310. The bicycle was left in the bike rack at Edison Intermediate between 8 a.m. on June 29 and 8 a.m. on July 1.

On July 11 at 3:50 p.m.: A business located in the 100 block of Century Avenue reports being the victim of a theft. Someone came into the business and removed $2,2000 worth of property.

On July 12 at 2:40 a.m.: Danny Burke, 32, of Edison was arrested for driving while intoxicated following a traffic stop. He was transported to headquarters where he was processed and released to a responsible adult.

On July 12 at 7:35 p.m.: Juwann Johnson, 23, of Plainfield was arrested on a no bail warrant from Somerset County Sheriff’s Office following a traffic stop. He was transported to headquarters where he was processed and turned over to Somerset County Sheriff.

On July 12 at 8:02 p.m.: Gerkenz Senesca, 28, of Roselle was arrested on an outstanding warrant out of Westfield for $1,688. He was transported to headquarters where he was processed and found to also have warrants out of Newark for $300 and Roselle for $250. He was unable to post bail and turned over to Union County Jail.

On July 13 at 1:28 p.m.: A business in the 200 block of Elmer Street reported the theft of their delivery bike between 1 to 1:28 p.m. on July 13. The bike is described as a black three-wheel bicycle with a rear cargo basket and red flag.

On July 13 at 1:09 p.m.: Louis V. Concepcion, 29, of South Amboy for possession of heroin, possession of Suboxone, possession of marijuana under 50 grams and possession of drug paraphernalia following a traffic stop in the 200 block of E North Ave.

On July 13 at 1:42 p.m.: A Kenilworth resident reported the theft of their wallet from a business in the 100 block of Central Ave between 10 a.m. and noon on July 13.
