Outdoor Addams Family 'MASK-erade' Ball In North Jersey Will Require COVID Vaccine Or Test

Addamsfest celebrates "Addams Family" creator Charles Addams with spooky events. A COVID vaccine or test is required for the first one.

WESTFIELD, NJ — In an effort to safely hold in-person events as part of the annual Addamsfest festival in Westfield — which celebrates "Addams Family" creator Charles Addams with spooky events in his hometown — this year's "Morticia & Gomez's Mask-erade Ball" will require either proof of a COVID vaccine or negative test to enter.

Tickets for the outdoor event, which will include food and dancing, just went on sale this weekend.

"What about Delta?" says a description on the event website. "We're on it, obsessively. That's why we're outdoors, providing individually portioned food, and — this is important — requiring proof of vaccination or a negative COVID test to enter. Our approach in these next few weeks is to proceed with cautious optimism so that folks have time to make plans (like how to creatively transition from masque to mask wearing)."
