WESTFIELD, NJ — A night of shopping, fashion and live entertainment is set to take over downtown Westfield next week as Girls Night Out returns with a new runway show addition.
The Downtown Westfield Corporation will host its Girls Night Out x Spring Fashion Show on Thursday, May 14, from 5 to 9 p.m. throughout downtown Westfield.
Quimby Street will close to traffic for the event and serve as the main gathering area, featuring a live DJ, giveaways and an outdoor fashion show beginning at 6 p.m.
Organizers said more than 40 downtown businesses will participate with shopping promotions, discounts and special in-store experiences throughout the evening.
Participating businesses include Gap, Athleta, Patricia & Paul and Sole Shoes, according to organizers.
The event will also include swag bags, a photo booth and giveaways. Organizers said the first 20 shoppers who spend at least $50 during the event will receive a $10 Downtown Westfield gift card.
“Girls Night Out has always been a night people look forward to, and this year we’re excited to build on that by adding the fashion show element,” Downtown Westfield Corporation Executive Director Daniel Taugher said.
“It’s a fun night out and a chance to really experience everything our downtown has to offer,” Taugher said.
