WESTFIELD, NJ — Police are investigating after a homeowner reportedly encountered an unknown man inside a Westfield residence before the person left the area.
According to authorities, the incident happened May 8. The homeowner confronted the man, who then left in a gold-colored Subaru.
Police described the individual as an Asian man in his 30s wearing dark clothing, a black baseball cap and clear glasses.
Investigators said nearby surveillance cameras did not capture the incident.
