Home Burglary Spree Leads To Stolen Cars In Westfield

Multiple vehicles were stolen from Westfield homes during early Friday morning burglaries, police said.

WESTFIELD, NJ — A spree of home burglaries targeting car keys was reported early Friday morning in Westfield.

Around 4 a.m. Friday, Westfield Police said burglars wwnt into a home on Coleman Place and stole a key fob and a 2025 silver Range Rover from the driveway.

About 20 minutes later, a home on Baker Avenue was targeted, where police said suspects stole key fobs and stole a 2018 black BMW X5 and a 2026 black BMW X5.

Also around 4:20 a.m., an attempted home burglary was reported on North Chestnut Street.

Officials did not release additional details on possible suspects, and the incidents remain under investigation.

Police also reminded residents to secure homes and vehicles, including locking doors and windows, keeping key fobs away from entry points, and using motion lighting and security systems to help deter thefts.
