WESTFIELD, NJ — A vehicle was reported stolen during a test drive at a business on East North Avenue before being recovered a short time later in Newark, according to police.
The incident happened around 6:26 p.m. on May 12, police said.
According to Westfield police, a suspect taking part in a test drive convinced a sales representative to step out of the vehicle before driving away at a high rate of speed.
Police said the vehicle was later found unoccupied in Newark.
No additional information about the suspect was immediately released.
