Police said the situation started as an argument between a driver and a pedestrian over a parking spot in the lot.

The man involved is described as a white male, about 40 to 50 years old, short in stature, with white hair and wearing a hat.

During the exchange, he reached into the vehicle, grabbed the driver’s sunglasses, and threw them across the lot. He also grabbed the door handle and the driver’s shirt while telling the driver to get out of the car.

A bystander stepped in and separated the two, and the driver then left the area.

The situation remains under investigation, according to police.
