WESTFIELD, NJ — A Westfield resident lost about $2,000 after responding to an online advertisement offering tickets to the NBA Finals, according to Westfield Police.

The incident began after the resident saw what appeared to be a ticket sale posted on TikTok by an unknown individual advertising access to NBA Finals tickets. The listing directed interested buyers to send payment through multiple digital payment platforms in order to secure the tickets.
