Meet Sales Director Nick Rossiello

Lantern Hill, an Erickson Senior Living community in New Providence, N.J., is excited to announce Nick Rossiello's promotion to sales director!

Rossiello, who most recently served as the community's sales manager, boasts years of experience in the senior living industry.

"I worked at Cedar Crest, a sister Erickson Senior Living community in Pompton Plains, N.J., for 16 years in a variety of roles," he says. "In some regards, coming to Lantern Hill felt like a new adventure. But Erickson's warm, friendly culture is also present here, which made me feel right at home."

Early start with Erickson

Rossiello's career with Erickson Senior Living began in high school. He and some friends were hired as student servers at Cedar Crest.

"I had assumed that my friends and I would all work together, but we were assigned to different restaurants," he recalls, with a laugh. "It turned out to be a great opportunity for me to really spread my wings and make new relationships."

Those relationships have only endured and grown stronger over the years. "One of the servers I met then was the best man at my wedding, and I'm still close friends with Jessica Cirelli, who is now Cedar Crest's sales manager," he says.

Rossiello earned his undergraduate degree in 2012--without a definitive career path ahead of him. However, his experience working for different companies during college brought him back to Erickson. "I was not sure what I wanted to do, but I knew I wanted to do it here," he shares.

Moving up the ranks

He returned to the dining team at Cedar Crest and then transitioned to Resident Life, supporting the community's in-house TV studio, before finding his true calling in sales. "I'm really passionate about introducing prospective residents to the vibrant, worry-free lifestyle they could enjoy," he says.

He joined the sales team as an associate, but he quickly worked his way up the ranks. His hard work and dedication led to the following promotions: senior sales associate, sales counselor, and sales manager.

So, when an opportunity to join and grow with the sales team at Lantern Hill arose, he was the ideal candidate.

"It's been an honor getting to know and work closely with the team at Lantern Hill," says Rossiello.

Exciting times

For Rossiello, one of the most exciting aspects of being at Lantern Hill right now is the chance to participate in the community's tenth anniversary celebrations.

To commemorate such an impressive milestone and prepare for the next ten years ahead, the community is renovating several amenities across campus. Renovations will enlarge the marketplace; enhance the lobby, Union Square restaurants, and the Fireside Lounge; and add a Starbucks.

"It's very exciting! These updates will help us fulfill our promise of providing residents with a vibrant lifestyle," says Rossiello.

In high demand

In fact, Rossiello notes that the demand for this retirement lifestyle is at an all-time high. "We are close to selling out, so we are urging people to reserve their home now," he emphasizes. "Being on the Priority List puts you one step closer to reserving."

A busy life

When he's not busy supporting the sales team at Lantern Hill, Rossiello is plenty busy at home. Three weeks after he joined the community, his son was born.

"I was able to take more than two months off to be with my son, Lucas, and my wife, Melody," he notes.

"The positive culture here extends into work-life balance, which I really appreciate. It's just another advantage of working at Erickson Senior Living. The culture, the residents, and the staff make a difference."

As a family, they enjoy exploring New Providence and the surrounding areas. He credits Melody for finding so many kid-friendly activities to do.
