Westfield Supermarket To Permanently Close

WESTFIELD, NJ — A longtime supermarket in Westfield will be closing.

"Stop & Shop has made the difficult decision to close our store located at 219 Elm Street, in Westfield, New Jersey, after a routine evaluation of our store operations," Daniel Wolk, a spokesman with Stop &Shop, told Patch.

Wolk said that Stop & Shop intends to operate the store through the early fall of 2026.

"All associates will be given the opportunity to transfer to other Stop & Shop locations," said Wolk.
