ROSELLE PARK, NJ — Locals will have a chance to celebrate Hispanic and Latina culture at Roselle Park's annual Fiesta Hispana Y Latina festival on Friday, Sept. 4, at Michael J. Mauri Park.
The event is scheduled for 6 to 9 p.m. and is free to attend.
According to the event announcement, the festival will feature live music, food and a community celebration centered on heritage and local pride.
Attendees of all ages are invited to take part in the evening program.
Mayor Joseph Signorello Jr. described the event as a reflection of the borough's diverse community.
"This event is a joyful celebration of the cultures that help make Roselle Park such a special place," said Signorello Jr. "We're proud to honor the heritage, music, and traditions of our Hispanic and Latina neighbors who enrich our community every day."
The festival will include a range of food vendors serving dishes tied to the culinary traditions of Latin and South America.
Attendees also can expect live music and dancing during the three-hour event at Michael J. Mauri Park.
Signorello said the celebration also highlights the way community events can bring residents together.
"Celebrations such as this showcase the vibrant spirit of Roselle Park," continued Signorello. They remind us how powerful it is when a community comes together to honor its rich diversity."
Fiesta Hispana Y Latina is open to all ages. The event is intended as a public community gathering that celebrates culture through music, food and shared traditions.
